We collect only the necessary information outlined in the Student Enrollment Contract. This information is gathered in compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (PIPA) and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and is essential for processing student applications.

Purpose of Collecting Personal Information

We record personal information for several key reasons:

To verify your identity
To understand client and student preferences
To deliver requested products and services
To issue certificates upon successful course completion
To enroll students in courses
To communicate course information to clients and students
To maintain high service standards
To remind students about recertification

Use of Collected Information

Information gathered from WorkSafeBC courses is archived solely to remind you when it's time to recertify before your certificate expires. We are subject to audits by WorkSafeBC to ensure compliance, and may need to share limited, non-identifiable information for statistical purposes. For Red Cross courses, information collected through the Student Enrollment Contract is uploaded to the Canadian Red Cross Society’s course management system after successful course completion. This aids in insurance coverage and certificate tracking for graduates.

Information Retention and Destruction

Records containing personal information are securely destroyed after four years. Credit card details provided during the enrollment process are deleted upon completion of payment.
