Students will learn to identify potential hazards, find out how they can protect themselves from hazardous products, know what to do in emergencies and know where to obtain additional information on the hazardous product. Students will be required to participate during the class and there will be a quiz at the end to ensure knowledge retention.

The WHMIS 2015 course is a 1-hour session gone over by the student with the aid of voice overs and interactive components.

The objective of this learning module is to provide employees with general information regarding the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and how to identify and work safety with and around hazardous products in the workplace.

You are required to know and understand the information contained in this package. More information on specific hazardous products should be provided in each individual workplace.

At the end of this learning module workers will be able to:

• Identify and eliminate potential hazards by reading pictograms and labels
• Read Safety Data Sheets and understand the properties of the materials
• Work safely with and around hazardous materials
